Montana Travel Trailer Shackle Repair

A customer called us with the complaint that they were stuck in a campground on a trip from Georgia, they noticed that one of their shackles broke on their way to Michigan and justly didn’t trust it to hold for the 1k+ mile drive home. They were in quite the bind due to their campsite reservation ending in 36 hours. We sent out one of our estimators within the hour, prepared a materials list, and had everything designed and fabricated within 12 hours. We traveled to the site and had everything installed by noon the next day, just in time for their departure! We modified the OEM design of the shackles due to the manufacturer design incorporating cost saving materials that unfortunately didn’t hold up. As manufacturers continue to cut costs, keep us in mind to strengthen up their shortcomings before something like this happens to you!
